I am a proud Bhutanese because of my King, the pillar of our nation. I know that my words will never be enough to justify even the smallest of His boundless deeds. No writing of mine can ever express the depth of my admiration and gratitude.
You may not believe me when I say that I have never seen His Majesty, the Fourth Druk Gyalpo (K4), in person — but that is the truth. I never had the chance to see Him give a live speech or mingle among the people. Yet, thanks to the advancement of technology, I have been able to watch and listen to His visionary speeches on many occasions.
Let alone me — the entire world has witnessed and admired the noble image His Majesty has earned for Bhutan. The concept of Gross National Happiness may now sound familiar or even cliché to some, but its depth and versatility continue to inspire countless lives.
I grew up cherishing His Majesty’s legendary works and compassionate leadership. No matter what I do, I know I will never reach His heights. Still, I aspire to take small steps and follow His Bodhisattva path — to live a life of service, compassion, and wisdom.
King of Kings, truly, You are a Dharma King.
Thank You for being the guiding light of our nation.
May Bhutan eternally cherish Your presence.
Long Live Our Beloved King!
